The Philippine Statistics Authority- Camarines Sur Provincial Statistical Office conducted the Turn-Over Ceremony for the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in the Municipality of Tinambac on March 7, 2024, at the ABC Hall, Municipal Compound, Binalay, Tinambac, Camarines Sur.
Mr. Raul P. Aspe Jr., the Supervising Statistical Specialist and Officer-in-Charge of PSO Camarines Sur led the turnover ceremony. During the event, a video-recorded message from USEC. Claire Dennis S. Mapa, Ph.D., National Statistician and Civil Registrar General of the Philippine Statistics Authority was played.
Several notable guests attended the event, including Ma’am Maria Peñafrancia L. Nepomuceno, Department of Information and Communications Technology(DICT) Provincial Officer, Ma’am Marita G. Hermoso, Provincial Planning and Development Officer, Engr. Diego E. Bayonito, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, MLGOO VI Allen Roy O. Prila, Municipal Councilor Hon. Giuseppe P. Prades, ABC President Hon. Jerry B. Sarmiento, as well as Municipal Department Heads, Division Heads, Section Heads, and Representatives.
Engr. Ray F. Merjilla, Supervising Statistical Specialist, SOCD PSA RSSO-V, presented the key highlights of the 2022 CBMS results during the ceremony. These included the total number of households and population, average household size, and information on access to basic services such as electricity, internet connection, main sources of water, and service level of toilet facilities. Additionally, school attendance, labor force, employment data, and disaster preparedness were discussed.
Municipal Mayor Hon. Atty. Ruel B. Tuy delivered an acceptance speech during the ceremony. He expressed his gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the Philippine Statistics Authority and the Local Government Unit of Tinambac, particularly the MPDC Office, in the 2022 CBMS Rollout. He emphasized the importance of accurate data in crafting effective plans and policies and prioritizing programs of the Local Government Unit of Tinambac.
PESO Manager and Data Protection Officer, Ma’am Niña T. Parde, will now be responsible for the security and confidentiality of the CBMS Data in the municipality.
