BRIEF HISTORY OF THE BARANGAY
The name of the Barangay Camagong is derived from the fruit “CAMAGONG” in Spanish, “MABOLO” in English, with scientific name Diospyrus blancoi. On 1941, Barangay Camagong Union and considered as Ligua Camunal. When Platon own and administered this area they made this as timberland. They putted up sawmill. The people of Camagong that time decided to have a Barangay Officials to administered the Barangay. On 1955, the first who led the Barangay was Maximo Alcos, followed by Felix Ilo, Cesar Multo, Salvador Palmaria, Abelino Velarde, Ruben Bondad, Elpio Mostera and presently PB, Ruben Bondad is the Punong Barangay. The first Patron Saint in this Barangay is Sta. Rita with feast day every 22nd day of May. And now, Sto. Nino is also our Patron Saint with feast day every 20th day of January.
Bounded by Arahanun Creek on the northern part, Pasusuhan Bridge in South, Siulo River in the west side and Kudong River in the East part. Three kilometers away from Tinambac proper, there you will find the Barangay Camagong – a hilltop barrio.
This was once critical place because of the feud between the powerful land owners trying to claim each other’s property in which their tenants became the sacrificial lambs but transformation happened after sometime. The seem-like barbaric attitude of the people turned into a more civilized, refined and open-minded characters giving them a battle of crime free ambiance of the barangay.

MISSION
To forge total well-being of populace; to promote progress thru encouragement of their participation and cooperation in a realistic and sustainable socio-cultural, economical, ecological and human development endeavors, and thru the collaboration of different NGO’s and civic organizations towards economical and technological advancement programs with other neighboring barangays.
