On March 22, 2024, the Local Government Unit of Tinambac, in coordination with the Tinambac People’s Council, held a highly informative seminar on Civil Society Organization’s Compliance at the ABC Hall, Municipal Compound, Binalay, Tinambac Camarines Sur.
The seminar was graced by the presence of several government agencies, including the Cooperative Development Authority, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Department of Labor and Employment, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Department of The Interior and Local Government. Representatives from these agencies actively participated in the seminar and shared valuable insights on CSO compliances and registrations.
MLGOO Allen Roy O. Prila, who spoke on CSO empowerment, emphasized the multiple roles that the CSO plays, which include serving as an essential source of information for both citizens and the government. He also provided the participants with a comprehensive understanding of the importance of CSO participation in promoting the common good.
The event was well-attended by various individuals, including Ma’am Catherine Demesa-Aguilar, the Municipal Cooperative Development Officer, MLGOO Allen Roy O. Prila, Ma’am Neslie O. Barrameda, the Internal Auditor and CSO Desk Officer, Alexander Alvarez, and members and officers of Tinambac People’s Council. Additionally, several accredited and not-yet-accredited organizations were present, and they actively participated in the seminar’s discussions.
