BRIEF HISTORY OF THE BARANGAY
The name Daligan was came from the word “Dalig”. Dalig means a big root of big trees that are common in the place. During early 20’s the place was not yet have its name. the place that time was plenty of Dalig, people can easily identified the place by telling “gulping dalig”. People that time went the place to buy fish because there are plenty of different fishes caught. So, people come to the place and people met they usually asked where to go? Their usual answer was “to dalig to buy fish.” “dalig” made its name and time pass by dalig turned to Daligan.
Barangay Daligan is situated at the northern part of the proper with a distance of 25 kms. It is bounded with Bani at the east, Sulpa Siruma in the West, Look River at the north, and South San Andres Siruma. It has a total land area of 3000 hectares Swampy and coconut land. Geographically this barangay is a coastal area. It has an existing complete elementary school, concrete barangay hall, Daycare Center and Chapel. The houses are erected in the vicinity of the barangay proper. Since there are no barangay market the people bought their daily provision in the sari-sari store but most of the time in the town proper of Tinambac.
There is a power supply which some houses had already appliances for their personal consumption. Most the resident engaged in fishing, farming as their primary source of living, and their most common crops are copra, cassava, poato and vegetables. Some also engaged in charcoal making, buy and sell, laboring but still there is not enough to provide the basic needs of their family thus directly affects the nutritional status of the children and the attendance every day.
VISION
Barangay Daligan is a far away barangay situated along the coastal area of Tinambac, we will make our best to make it a safe & comfortable to live in.
By the end of the calendar year 2015, we, Daligeῆos, would be happy to see our barangay completed with pathways, stairways,well-equipped multi-purpose building, installed with clean & safe drinking water and surrounded with green fruit-bearing trees & coco on the higher portion of the barangay.

General Description and Characteristic:
Daligan is one of the furthest coastal barangay of Tinambac. It is an Agricultural land characterized by a slight slope and hilly terrain.
