Photos were taken during the opening of the Farmer’s Week Celebration and the ongoing Agri-Fair at Orgulyo Grounds in Barangay Salvacion Poblacion. The event showcases and sells products made by local farmers in Tinambac as part of the Farmers’ Week Celebration, happening from May 6 onwards, in time for the 18th Himoragat Festival.
The Local Government Unit of Tinambac, under the stewardship of Municipal Mayor Atty. Ruel Brioso Tuy, initiated the event in collaboration with the Federation of Integrated Farmers of Tinambac (FIFT) and Fisheries Aquatic Resource Management Council. The activity is aligned with Buwan ng Mangingisda at Magsasaka, with the theme “Pagpupugay sa mga masisipag na magsasaka at mangingisda na katuwang tungo sa masaganang Bagong Pilipinas.”
During the opening of the Farmers’ Week Celebration, a Pasalubong Center was launched, as well as the local farmer’s market/online market. Tokens for farm inputs were also distributed to farmers. On the succeeding days, various activities are lined up, including the Farmers’ and Fishers’ Summit, Fishery Ordinance Consultation, and a Cooking Competition intended for farmers and fishers.
We invite everyone to come and visit our local farmer’s market at Orgulyo grounds in Barangay Salvacion Poblacion. By doing so, we can show our support and help promote the local farmers’ products.
