Yesterday, May 9, 2023, the second Firefighting Olympics was held in our municipality brought to us by the Bureau of Fire Protection-Tinambac Fire Station with the cooperation of the Local Government of Tinambac as part of the celebration of the 16th HIMORGAT FESTIVAL.
The Firefighting Olympics: Community Fire Auxiliary Group Inter-Barangay Challenge participated this year by Barangay Binalay, Sogod, Filarca, La Purisima, San Isidro, Salvacion Poblacion, and San Pascual. The competition is centered on the strength and ability of the participants in Hose Throwing, Bucket Relay, Rescue Relay, Donning of Personal Protective Equipment, and Target Aiming.
The Bureau of Fire Protection-Tinambac Fire Station responded to this initiative. Such activities are of great help to the local communities to strengthen their awareness and preparedness in fighting and responding to fires and other emergencies in the barangay.
Through this competition, the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship of all the participants of the triumphant 2nd FIREFIGHTING OLYMPICS: COMMUNITY FIRE AUXILIARY INTER-BARANGAY CHALLENGE is also demonstrated.
