On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through its Camarines Sur Field Office, headed by Maam Ma.Ella E. Verano, together with Senior Labor and Employment Officer/Livelihood Focal Cyre M. Cabredo, led the ceremonial turnover of a check amounting to One Million Ten Thousand and Sixty-Five Pesos (P 1,010.065.00) to the Local Government Unit of Tinambac, represented by Municipal Mayor Atty Ruel Brioso Tuy, for the procurement of the Kabuhayan starter kits of the 35 chosen fisherfolks to help them get started in their chosen livelihood.


Fishermen are offered livelihood support under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program in order to increase their economic activity, thereby empowering them as productive members of society.

The DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program in the municipality is supported by Maam NiƱa T. Parde, the Municipal PESO Manager, who claims that its objective is to reach the most remote villages and promote the socio-economic well-being of fisherfolk in the informal industry.


The municipal agriculturist, Engineer Reynaldo A. Rivera, was also present during the ceremonial turnover.
