The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Municipal Local Government Operations Office in Tinambac, headed by Local Government Operations Officer VI Josef Roi O. Armenta, in partnership and coordination with the Local Government Unit of Tinambac headed by Municipal Mayor Atty. Ruel Brioso Tuy conducts a pre-workshop activity on the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) for RCSP 2023 Implementation at the ABC Hall, Municipal Compound, Binalay, Tinambac, Camarines Sur, on June 23, 2023.
Participants in the activity are the six RCSP Barangays from Magsaysay, La Medalla, Pantat, Cawaynan, Canayonan, and Sagrada. The first batch of the RCSP Barangays from Banga, Lupi, Bataan, Tambang, Tierra Nevada, San Ramon, San Roque, Salvacion, Camagong, and Magsaysay were already given their pre-workshop activities on June 9, 2023.
The said pre-workshop activity, which was participated in by the Punong Barangays together with their respective barangay officials, is part of the pre-immersion phase of the RCSP implementation process. During the immersion, the RCSP Team, composed of military and local government stakeholders, visits the target barangays to assess the needs and concerns of the population in the community to uplift their lives and enhance development in the area.
The activity also aims to determine and recommend solutions to address the identified issues by the communities themselves through the provision of government projects while ensuring sustainable development and promoting peace as one of the primary objectives of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP).
The Local Government Unit of Tinambac being fortunate to have been selected as the recipient of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) among other municipalities, on October 8, 2022, Barangay Olag Grande became one of the pilot barangays that spearheaded the Serbisyo Caravan (Baranggayan) and identified two (2) priority projects as a result of the immersion.
