Since March 22, 2024, the province of Camarines Sur has encountered heat index values ranging from 37°C to as high as 44°C. The current heat index continues to register at an extreme caution level, with DOST-PAGASA cautioning about the likelihood of heat cramps, exhaustion, and heat stroke.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, led by LDRRMO III Romil L. Estolano RN, conducted visits to the public elementary and secondary schools of Tinambac in compliance with the memorandum signed by Governor Vincenzo Renato Luigi R. Villafuerte to develop interventions and strategies to mitigate risks from extreme heat in the municipality.
The Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office performed a risk assessment this afternoon of schools to identify vulnerabilities to extreme heat and implement appropriate interventions based on the result of the risk assessment.
