On April 30, 2024, the Local Government Unit of Tinambac, led by Municipal Mayor Atty. Ruel B. Tuy entered into a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Agrarian Reform for the implementation of the Village-Level Farm-Focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) Program. This program is a collaborative effort between several national government agencies, including the Department of Science and Technology, the Philippine Coconut Authority, and the Department of Trade and Industry, aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture practices and empowering local farming communities in Tinambac.
The Bolaobalite Farmer’s Association, under the leadership of its President, Mr. Ronaldo M. Delos Santos, and an Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization based in Bolaobalite, will benefit from the VLFED Program in Tinambac. The memorandum of agreement was signed at the ABC Hall, Municipal Compound, Binalay, Tinambac, Camarines Sur, and was attended by esteemed officials from the Department of Agrarian Reform, including the OIC-Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer, PBDO, DAR Camarines Sur II, Engr. Aiza H. Mendez, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, Engr. Renato C. Bequillo, and OIC-Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer I, Engr. Rodel C. Martirez. Other notable officials present at the signing ceremony were Mr. Jay Percival S. Ablan, the Provincial Director of DTI-Camarines Sur, Mr. Patrocinio Felizmenio, the Provincial Director of DOST-PSTC, Ma’am Mercy R. Salazar, Division Chief of PCA Camarines Sur II, the Municipal Agriculturist, Engr. Reynaldo Rivera, and Bolaobalite Punong Barangay Marites D. Artisola.
